Key Stage 4 - Year 10. Fauve Landscapes - 2003. William de Ferrers School
Year 10 students made studies of artists' landscapes to explore the basic elements of art and increase their knowledge of different artistic styles.
They developed their own compostion with a foreground, mid-ground and background. They experimented with the dimensions and format of the paper to increase the interest of their image. They scaled up their thumbnail sketches to fit the paper (A1 - A2 size). The work was completed in the Fauve style using oils or acrylics.
