Kandinsky. KS3. Year 9. William de Ferrers School.
Kandinsky.

This work was inspired by that of Kandinsky.

1. Year 9 students worked with watercolour,
drawing ink, wax and fine-line pen.

They responded to expressionist music
(e.g. Schönberg). They listened for
changes in tempo, mood and rhythmn and
tried to convey these changes in their work.

2. This work was developed from the
1st activity.

Students cut paper stencils, then used
diffusers and drawing ink to create shapes.

They worked into these images with a
variety of materials to create balance,
harmony and rhythmn.
